How to Add a Page in Duda

    Jun 08, 2022

Do you have a product or service that needs a new page on your Duda website?

We recommend duplicating an existing page on your site, so the new page is consistent with the design. Below, we outline how to duplicate a website page, change the content on that page, and add the page to the site navigation.

How to Duplicate an Existing Page on Your Website

    1. Open the page list from the left-hand menu.

    2. Find a page with good content sections on it already.

    3. Click the gear icon to the right of the page, and select Duplicate.

    4. Rename your new page. The new page will appear at the bottom of your pages list.

Remove the page from the global navigation

Your new page will automatically be listed in your global navigation. While you’re working on your new page, you’ll want to remove it from the nav. Select the gear icon to the right of the page to open the context menu. Select “Hide/Show in navigation,” then “Hide on all.”

Keep the context menu open to consider the SEO settings for your new page

Duda will automatically assign your new page a URL based on the title and name that you’ve given the page. However, the page description and page title will be exact replicas of those of the duplicated page.

Before pushing the page live, your page description and title should be manually changed to whatever you deem to be most successful.

How to Adjust Content On Your New Page

On your new page, any element can be moved and edited

    • Entire sections can be moved to different positions on the page
    • Columns within sections can also be dragged left or right
    • Elements within columns – including buttons, headers, text, and images – can be easily edited and manipulated
    • Containers holding text can be reshaped or dragged to a new location

Sections can also be taken from other pages and included in your new page

    • Go to another page, select an entire row via the context menu, select “Copy”

    • Return to your new page. Within the context menu of a row within the page, select “Paste.” Remember: Duda will always place the copied section ABOVE this selected row.

How to Put Your New Page Back Into the Main Navigation

Return to your pages list, find your new page, click the gear, and go to “Hide/Show in navigation.” Select “Show on all.” You will immediately see the page appear. To change the page’s position in the global nav, drag the page to a new location in your page list.

You can also make your new page a child page by dragging it underneath one of the other pages. Child pages appear as a drop-down beneath main pages in the global navigation.
