During a period of discovery with DCS, our teams identified a variety of goals for the website project – goals specifically chosen to address weaknesses in DCS’s current website.
The new website needed to simplify the purchase process so contractors with hectic schedules and deadlines could find what they need quickly. DCS's new platform now allows customers to browse, add items to cart, and checkout without ever coming in contact with DCS staff.
Although our web team customized the DCS site with a variety of outside applications, we developed the site entirely within Shopify, producing a lightweight, streamlined digital ecommerce platform.
An enhanced search feature would allow potential customers to filter by a specific product category or simply search across all categories. To maximize efficiency, returning visitors are presented with products inspired by past shopping trends.
Shortly after website launch, Discount Contractor Supply heard positive reports from contractors easily ordering products from a mobile device on the job site. To maximize the efficacy of their new ecommerce platform – a digital tool built intentionally for long-term growth – DCS began ongoing SEO services with us.
Our team created a logo that clearly speaks to the heritage and strength of DCS. An emblem logo was the perfect choice for this client, combining the client's history with bold, updated typefaces.
Fjalla One, a condensed font, speaks to the structure and quality that DCS supplies to their customers. Roboto is a recognizable and legible sans serif that loosely reflects Fjalla One without being too similar.
The colors for DCS's website were easy to select - we started by looking at their products and purpose, and opted to integrate the stone-colored hues into their website to create a full digital immersion into the world of concrete. Our choice of goldenrod as an accent color quickly associates this company with the construction industry.
