More than boarding and daycare, this client offers a unique facility that focuses on building and supporting relationships between dogs and their families. Catering to the needs of dog owners who want a fun, safe, and engaging environment for their pets, Wag ‘n Paddle offers a unique indoor swimming experience for dogs and a variety of enrichment activities to promote physical exercise, mental stimulation, and socialization.
After recently updating their logo, they wanted a new and inviting website design, along with better organization and capabilities to support potential expansion to multiple locations.
Logo Design / Website Design
Our website design for Wag N Paddle has earned the prestigious 2024 American Digital Design Award from GDUSA! This recognition highlights our dedication to excellence in digital design and innovation. We absolutely loved how this project turned out—it was such a fun and playful website to build, perfectly capturing the spirit of Wag N Paddle and their mission to create a haven for dogs and their owners.
Our creative team works hard to understand the client, the business, and the audience. With this understanding in mind, the client was presented with two design concepts, with the brighter, more playful option emerging as the winner.
Our team also revamped the client’s logo by adding freehand strokes and script font to enhance its energetic and playful appeal. This update served as a great launching pad for the overall look of the website: lighthearted and fun with a focused passion on providing enjoyment to dogs and their owners.
After receiving an array of images of dogs taken by the owners and staff, images were selected and paired with icons and graphics. This partnership of images and informative content work together to provide the trust and comfort necessary for this audience. Additionally, the reorganization of content provides a better prioritization and flow.
Helping owners clarify their brand is so rewarding! The process of website development helped this client see their brand in a fresh and fun way that doesn’t diminish their serious passion for creating a great experience for dogs and dog owners. The site now offers a very approachable aesthetic along with a more concise and easier to view navigation. Each page has a better flow and stronger imagery. And the more vibrant color palette now matches the lively energy of the brand.
HWT Gothic was a great font choice to make the headers stand out while highlighting the fun offered in the various sections. Blithe was chosen as a sub-header to complement the script in their logo and to add to the context of each section. Lastly, Filson Pro was chosen for the body copy due to its softer edges and clear readability.
Neptune and aqua were chosen to emulate elements from their previous site and maintain comfortability. Pistachio, ghost, and blaze were chosen to brighten up their palette and highlight important elements within their content. The overall color palette expresses fun with supporting an environment of trust, comfort, and approachability.
